Traveling and Living on a Yacht

This could be a dream lifestyle on a yacht. It’s a fantasy come true and a life worth living. There are companies that hire potential candidates that travel and have to live on a yacht to conduct business. Let me give you an overview of what you would encounter on a yacht.

· Your Crew Quarters - This is the area where you would be living which would be your bed and living area, it may be small but it would be comfortable for you. All of your laundry facilities and galley’s all near and convenient for you to take care of any necessities. You may have to also share a what they call a “cabin” with another crew member.

· Your rules and regulations while on board – The area that you will be living in may seem closed in, therefore you would have to show respect to your fellow roommates. Keeping your area clean is a must and giving your fellow mate privacy is essential. The captain of the ship may also inspect each cabin for order and decency.

· The Purpose for Traveling on Sea – Many occupations work on sea at the port for maintenance or charter business. Some business may include shipping or transporting other information cargos to sea.

The crew department has many responsibilities while on board, while in position on the yacht, would be busy with the tasks that is given to you. Some of those task may include;

1. The Captain – which prepares his navigation plans to the destination.

2. The Engineer – deals with the generator, to ensure sufficiency.

3. The Chef- are busy preparing the meals for everyone on board.

4. The Deck department – works on he fenders and anchors and makes sure that all deck area are safe and secure.

5. Stewardesses – are responsible for the interior of the yacht and other items on the yacht as it is assigned to them.

6. The Department that does the provisioning – will include the drinks and food. They will give estimates on all usage for all items used while living on the yacht.
