Panama: It’s Canal, Climate, History and Attractions

Panama is the southernmost country of both Central America and, in turn, North America. It is has it border with Costa Rica in the northwest, towards the south east is Columbia, the Caribbean Sea to the north and towards the south is the Pacific Ocean. The capital is Panama City. The Climate of Panama is tropical. Temperatures are high and it is quite humid but this can vary slightly from season to season. Since it is so humid in Panama, there is an abundance of plants. Nearly 40 percent of Panama is covered with rainforests.

One of the most famous attractions of Panama is the Panama Canal. This structure is mainly popular because of its incredible technology from the time it was built. The Canal is a man-made structure that connects the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. It was the largest and most difficult engineering projects ever undertaken. The Panama Canal allows boats and other shipping equipment to take a shorter route than traveling around South America back up eastern North America. If a ship were to travel from San Francisco, CA to New York, NY not using the Canal, it would be 14,000 miles (22,500 km) instead of 6,000 miles (9,500 km) with the Panama Canal.

For a person who would like to go to Panama and admire the scenery as well as the famous landmarks, they would most likely have to use an airplane. As usual, the JFK airport in New York will be our example. So, traveling from JFK to the Panama City-Bay International Airport (PSY) in Panama, it would cost a person about $325 for a one-way, one person, coach seating and one stop trip. Overall, that is a decent price. The price for one ticket to Panama is close to the same as traveling across all of America.

Murree is located in the north of Punjab and is a very famous tourist place. The weather of Murree is always pleasant is summers and freezing cold in winters.

The beautiful place of Murree is surrounded by mountains and is a very entertaining tourist spot. People from all over Pakistan as well as foreign tourists come here and enjoy the scenery and of course shopping.

There is a five star hotel in Muree “Pearl Continental Hotel in Bhurban” and is considered as a hallmark of Murree.

The famous Mall road attracts tourists for its wonderful shopping and the traditional wooden handicrafts.

Although the locals of Murree are poor still they have big hearts and are always ready to help and invite tourists for meals.

Murree was a jungle first but due to people coming in from all over the country, the government developed it and now it is a major tourist point.

When Traveling to Brazil…

Brazil is located in South America. By geographical area, it is the fifth largest country in South America. Brazil is bordered by Venezuela, Suriname and Guyana to the north, Bolivia and Peru to the west, Columbia in the northwest, Argentina and Paraguay in the southwest, and Uruguay in the south. Although Brazil has a wide range of weather conditions, it is mainly tropical. There are five major climatic subtypes: equatorial, tropical, semiarid, highland tropical and temperate. Brazil’s climate ranges from rainforests in the north to semiarid deserts in the northeast.

As with most countries, Brazil has a rich culture that most find very interesting. Some of the popular landmarks of Brazil are: the Statue of Christ the Redeemer, the Amazon River Ouro Preto (Rich Village of Black Gold) and Congonhas. Brazilian landscapes are also very beautiful and popular with tourists. Rainforests, waterfalls and rivers hold pretty plants and creatures alike.

When finding an airline to fly to Brazil, I used Delta Airlines as an example. From the JFK airport in New York to the Brasilia Airport (BSB) in Brazil, the airplane ticket is around $3,000 (one-way, one person, coach seating and multiple stops). The trip would take about 31 hours and 45 minutes.
