Taj Mahal,Agra

With its magnificient architecture, Taj Mahal is one of the world’s most visited tourist attractions. Receiving 2.3 million tourists a year, it is also one of the world’s seven wonders. Taj Mahal ,Agra in India and was built by Shah Jehan as a symbol of love for his wife Mumtaz Mahal (Arjumand Bano Begum).

A splendidly laid out garden encloses the exquisite monument of Taj Mahal.The entire Taj is divided into five constituents namely

· Darwaza or (The main gateway)
· Bageecha or (The gardens)
· Masjid or (The mosque)
· Naqqar Khana or (The rest house)
· Rauza or (The main mausoleum)

The architecture is a fusion of Persian, Central Asian and Islamic architecture.
One of the embellishments done on the surface of the glorious Taj Mahal is its calligraphy.It mainly consists of passages from the Holy Quran. A persian calligrapher Amanat khan inscribed them in an illigible Thuluth script. Many of the panels also bear his signatures.
