Africa: What Sights to See and How to See Them

If you have decided to visit Africa, you need to check out Accra, Ghana. You can arrive to this city by airplane at the Kotoka International Airport. You don’t have to go out of your way to get here. It can handle larger airlines. Connections to Europe and North American are easy to find. So if you want a place with numerous sights and spectacular beaches, then visit the capital of Ghana, Accra.

Kinds of Taxis

Make sure you sightsee when you’re in the city. If you stay in a larger hotel, you can rent a vehicle that comes with a driver for about $9 an hour or $75 for 10 hours. You’ll also pay for fuel. However, the service is worthwhile because these drivers are wonderful guides that will explain in detail about the attractions as you pass or visit.

You can also get through the city by taxi. You’ll need to watch what sort of taxi you get into. Some taxi drivers will negotiate a fee; others will use a meter and are more expensive. You can also share a taxi with other people. These follow a certain route and rates are set per passenger. If you want to visit the hot spots, this is the way to go.

If you don’t want to rent a car or use a taxi, use a tro tro. A tro tro is a van that serves as the public transit system. However, these aren’t safe and can be unreliable.

Accra Attractions
