Underwater Paradise – Diving into Beauty

Going on a holiday usually means winding down and escaping our hectic daily schedule. Some prefer just lazing at the beach while watching the sunset together. However some of us may be more adventurous and seek to explore new things.

Ever wondered what the underwater world holds for us?

Crystal clear waters are perfect for diving in and exploring the underwater ecosystem. All over the world, many destinations are famous as dive sites and offer a unique experience of the calm waters as well as the clear oceans. The Great Barrier Reef, Atlantis (just off the Cayman Brac Island) and Sharm El Sheikh are a few of these sites offering flourishing coral reefs or shipwrecks.

Some diving sites may even offer the opportunity to swim amongst the sharks, through protective cages of course. Photography enthusiasts will discover that the underwater world is one of the most captivating sights on earth. With its abundant marine life bursting with colours, it’s a shame to miss out on the experience.

But wait; don’t jump into your diving suits just yet. Remember that diving tours usually offer short practice sessions for new divers. Diving expeditions require that you follow the lead of their ‘divemaster’ who will supervise the event and aid those with little experience. Remember to adhere to the rules set and never venture too far away from the group.

Selecting the dive site is also very important. Remember to always do some research on the desired destination, the services provided and the tourist attraction sites nearby. After comparing all the information, if you are satisfied with your choice, you may choose the colour of your diving suit.

For those of us who prefer not to dive too far down, snorkelling is an interesting alternative. It does not require us to go too far out into the ocean, but also offers a variety of marine life for your viewing pleasure.
