Hot and cold seasons of Nepal

When I had planned to visit Nepal for the first time, I received many ideas and comments from my colleagues and friends, who had already visited Nepal. There were lots of comments regarding the chilly weather of the country due to its high altitude. My friends told me that it is tough to stay there during the winter season.

To people, who doesn’t know much about Nepal, Nepal is located at the lap of the Himalayas. It is surrounded by the People’s Republic of China in the north and the India to the south. Eight of the ten world’s highest mountain ranges can be found in Nepal, including the Highest, Mount Everest and Nepal is now a democratic republic. It has a diversified landscape, equipped with the humid Terai plains in the south and the mountainous Himalayan region in the northern part of the country. Nepal is a main tourist spot and a favorite one for many who love the chilly climatic conditions.

The northern part of the country, also known as the terai region has a humid climate all the time except the summer. The central part, also known as siwalik region has a moderate temperature, which goes down in winter and spring and rise high in summer. The Southern part, which forms the Gangetic plane, is hot all the time. Even in winter, some part of the northern region will have a warm temperature. Some people just imagine that Nepal is just a wasteland, filled with ice and snow, just like Antarctica. In fact, Nepal is a beautiful tourist location for people who are eager to visit a chilly place; it has many attractive tourist locations to be seen at least once in your lifetime.

You can visit the central part of Nepal if in case you are traveling there in winter to see the beautiful mountain ranges of the Himalayas in this hilly region. If in case, you are visiting in summer, it is better to travel to the northern regions of Nepal in order to get a glimpse of the beautiful snow falling regions, High snow filled mountains and a chilly climate that wakes up your inner spirit. These climatic conditions are mainly due to variations of the longitudes and latitudes, and due to the change of altitudes from the sea level.

So, you cannot ignore this beautiful country, saying that it is snow filled wasteland and tough to find your way in it. The climate gradually depends on when you are visiting the country and which part you are traveling. So you should first, decide the time of travel depending on the place to where, you are going to travel before getting ready to explore this chilly Nepal.
